Parent Sphere — Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

This policy explains how Parent Sphere: Family Planner handles information. Parent Sphere is published by Soft Flourish, an independent software studio and publishing house based in California, USA. It supplements the general Soft Flourish Privacy Policy and controls where the two differ for this app.

Parent Sphere holds some of the most sensitive information a family has. The design rule is that sensitive detail is visible to the people who need it and nobody else — including us.

What the app holds, and why

WhatWhy
Your family's calendar, handoffs, messages, decisions, expenses and observationsThe content of the app. Stored so both parents can see the same week.
Role-based access settingsSo health, school, contacts and routines can be shared with the right person and not with everyone.

What it never collects

  • Any location of a parent or a child — there is no location tracking, covert or otherwise
  • Anything from a child's own device; the app does not monitor children's phones
  • Advertising identifiers, and there are no ads
  • Any sale or sharing of family data with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else

The family TV board

The Apple TV surface is deliberately reduced: private messages and sensitive health details never appear on it. A shared living-room screen is not a private one, so the app treats it as public within the household.

Where your data lives today

The current build is local-first: what you enter is held on your device. Encrypted household synchronisation between parents is in development and will use a dedicated, member-scoped tenant with explicit household membership, revocation, export and deletion. Offline use will remain supported.

Getting your data out, and deleting it

Everything you enter is exportable, and deletion removes it. Until synchronisation ships, deleting the app removes the local copy. Write to [email protected] with any request and we will answer it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and describe the change here. Continuing to use Parent Sphere after a change means you accept it.
