DJFlow — User Manual

From first connection to a provider-safe continuous session.

Connection is not permission to alter audio. DJFlow never downloads, decrypts, extracts, caches, analyzes or modifies protected streaming audio. Spotify's public connection leaves streaming and play accounting in Spotify; full catalog mixing needs Spotify's separate DJ-software partnership. YouTube plays only in a visible official player without background audio. Features vary by provider, subscription, device, region and account eligibility.

Start your first flow

  • Open DJFlow and continue as a guest for local listening, or sign in to sync preferences.
  • Choose Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, or Owned music. The capability label tells you what DJFlow can actually control.
  • Pick a playlist, choose Flow or Party, then press Start DJFlow.
  • The Now Playing view shows the current track, what comes next, and transition detail when DJFlow is allowed to execute it.

Modes

  • Flow keeps handoffs quiet and suitable for everyday listening.
  • Party builds energy and prefers longer compatible blends where the audio source permits them.
  • Smart Shuffle creates an intentional order from compatibility and preference signals.
  • Original Order keeps every playlist position and improves only permitted handoffs.
  • Workout follows a warm-up, build, peak, sustained-energy and cooldown curve.

Spotify

Sign into DJFlow first, connect Spotify, and choose an eligible playlist. DJFlow sends official playback and control requests; Spotify fetches, streams and accounts for the tracks. If Spotify says no active device, open Spotify, start any track once, return and retry. No Spotify audio is overlapped or altered until Spotify grants DJFlow direct DJ-partner approval.

YouTube

Paste a public YouTube or YouTube Music playlist link. The video and official player remain visible, including standard controls and attribution. Closing the player ends the foreground session; DJFlow does not continue hidden audio.

Owned music

Choose audio files you own. DJFlow can reorder, fade, normalize and use system background controls because the files are locally accessible. Protected or unavailable files are skipped without ending the rest of the session.

Disconnect or delete

Open Account or Settings. Disconnecting a provider removes its authorization from DJFlow. Delete account and data removes saved DJFlow records and then the login identity. You may also revoke DJFlow from the provider's own account settings.
