This policy explains how Nature Wonders: Plant Scanner handles information. Nature Wonders is published by Soft Flourish, an independent software studio and publishing house based in California, USA. It supplements the general Soft Flourish Privacy Policy and controls where the two differ for this app.
Nature Wonders keeps your journal on your device and asks for as little as an identification app can ask for. It does not request your location, does not create a child profile, and does not sell anything about you.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| The photograph you choose to identify | Sent to the plant-recognition provider to produce a match, and not retained by us afterwards. |
| Your saved discoveries and notes | Stored on your device so your field journal persists. They are not uploaded. |
Live identification is performed by Pl@ntNet. The photograph you submit is sent to their service to produce a ranked list of matches, and is handled under their terms. We attach no account, no device identifier and no location to that request.
The app does not request, store, or publish precise locations of rare plants. Publishing exact coordinates of a rare species is how populations get stripped, so the feature does not exist.
Your journal is on the device: deleting the app removes it. There is no account to close and no server-side copy to request.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and describe the change here. Continuing to use Nature Wonders after a change means you accept it.
