The Mac App Store version runs in Apple’s sandbox, which means it can only read folders you hand it one at a time. Advanced asks for Full Disk Access instead and scans your Mac the way a maintenance app is supposed to. Same app, same subscription — the only difference is what macOS lets it touch.

Which one do I want?
Most people should take the App Store version. Choose Advanced if it told you “Nothing found” on a Mac you know is full, or if you want it to reach system caches and other users’ leftovers.

Installing
Drag SystemZen Advanced into your Applications folder. It is notarized by Apple, so it opens normally — no right-click, no warning to click past.
The app shows you the switch and opens System Settings at the right page. Without it, Advanced sees no more than the App Store version does.
macOS only applies Full Disk Access to an app that has restarted. Skip this and it will still report almost nothing — this is the step people miss.
