SystemZen Advanced —
the whole disk, not just a corner of it

The Mac App Store version runs in Apple’s sandbox, which means it can only read folders you hand it one at a time. Advanced asks for Full Disk Access instead and scans your Mac the way a maintenance app is supposed to. Same app, same subscription — the only difference is what macOS lets it touch.

Which one do I want?

The honest comparison

Most people should take the App Store version. Choose Advanced if it told you “Nothing found” on a Mac you know is full, or if you want it to reach system caches and other users’ leftovers.

Installing

Three steps, and the third one matters

1

Open the download

Drag SystemZen Advanced into your Applications folder. It is notarized by Apple, so it opens normally — no right-click, no warning to click past.

2

Grant Full Disk Access

The app shows you the switch and opens System Settings at the right page. Without it, Advanced sees no more than the App Store version does.

3

Quit and open it again

macOS only applies Full Disk Access to an app that has restarted. Skip this and it will still report almost nothing — this is the step people miss.

Verify it yourself

What you are running

Signed by Fenul LLC (team A5SQ29M7WW) and notarized by Apple, which means Apple scanned this exact file for malware and issued it a ticket. macOS checks that ticket on first launch even with no internet connection.

Pro

One subscription, every device

Advanced is free to download, and the free tier does the same work here as everywhere else. Pro is bought on this website rather than inside the app, because a build that does not come from the App Store cannot take payment through it. Buy it once and sign in on your Mac, iPhone, Android or PC — it is the same subscription.
