Football Insight Hub — User Manual

This manual covers both halves of Football Insight Hub: the tools for the game you play yourself, first, and then the professional game it follows — major international tournaments, continental championships, domestic league seasons and continental club competitions, each a competition you switch between inside the app rather than a separate download.

Balancing two fair sides

Open the Smart Team Balancer and add whoever turned up. It deals two sides that are level on strength and sensible in shape — a keeper on each side, the defenders spread rather than stacked — and then tells you how big a gap it could not close, instead of pretending there isn't one. Nobody has to be picked last, and nobody has to be the one doing the picking.

Running matchday

Start the clock and keep the game: goals, cards, substitutions, half-time and the shootout if it goes that far. It is built for fourteen people in a park — big controls, one hand, works with the screen in the sun — not for a broadcast gantry.

The formation sheet

Drag your shape out on the pitch and name the roles. It saves alongside the squad, so the next game starts from the last one rather than from a blank sheet, and it can be handed round before kick-off.

The tactics board

Draw runs, mark where to press, freeze a moment and talk over it. The whiteboard that normally lives in the boot of somebody's car, in your pocket instead.

The offside visualiser

Set the defensive line, place the pass and the run, and see the decision drawn. It settles the weekend's argument with the rule rather than with volume — and it is the fastest way to explain offside to someone who has never had it explained.

Your squad

The people you play with, kept on your device. Add them once and they are there for every balance, every formation sheet and every matchday after that. No account is needed for any of it.

Picking a competition

Use the competition switcher to move between the cups, leagues, and series Football Insight Hub covers. A new competition switches on automatically the moment its season starts, and stays available in the archive once it ends — nothing to download or reinstall for a new edition.

Live scores

Scores update in real time as football (soccer) is played. Live data is pulled from competition feeds on a refresh schedule, so a result that just finished can take a few minutes to settle before it is final.

Standings and tables

Group and league tables update as results land, with qualification and relegation zones highlighted where the competition has them.

Fixtures and results

The full schedule for every competition you follow, with completed results kept in the same place — no separate results archive to hunt through.

Past editions

A finished competition does not disappear. Past editions stay one tap away in the archive, ready to browse any time.

Predictions and rewards

Sign in to call outcomes and earn rewards. Everything else in Football Insight Hub works without an account.

Earning extra rewards

Football Insight Hub has a rewards screen where you can watch a short ad in exchange for extra points. It only ever plays when you choose to tap it — never automatically.

Notifications

Turn match or result notifications on or off in your device’s settings for Football Insight Hub. The app works without them.
