SurfaceIQ — Wall & Floor Scan
Last updated: August 15, 2026
SurfaceIQ turns your phone into a precision surface scanner. Point it at a wall, floor, panel, appliance or vehicle and it finds cracks, stains, dents, discoloration and wear — then marks each anomaly right on your photo with a severity rating.
What it does
- Findings on the real photo. Every flaw is pinned to the image you captured, not described in the abstract.
- Dents and bulges you can measure. On newer iPhones the app measures how far a surface has moved instead of estimating it from the picture.
- Before/after baselines. Compare a surface against an earlier scan to show what changed — move-in versus move-out, before versus after a repair.
- Exportable reports. A PDF per inspection, in a template that suits the job.
- A phone-only Toolbox. Stud and wire finder, tap sounding, moisture screening, leak listener, vibration check, and a spirit level with multi-point floor survey — all from the phone itself, with nothing to buy or plug in.
Private by design
All image analysis runs on your device. Your photos are not uploaded to be processed and are not used to train anything. See the privacy policy for the detail.
Honest about its limits
SurfaceIQ is an indicative screening tool, not a certified instrument. It is built to say what it measured and how confident it is — and to say plainly when a mode is not available on your device rather than return a confident-looking guess.
Pricing
Free to scan, with monthly credits and no account needed to try it. SurfaceIQ Pro is an auto-renewable monthly subscription; see the terms of use. Full walkthrough: user manual. Questions: support.
