Cricket Pulse Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
Cricket Pulse(“the app”) is developed and published by Soft Flourish, an independent software studio and publishing house based in California, USA. This page explains what Cricket Pulsecollects, why, and how it's used — it supplements, and is consistent with, Soft Flourish's general privacy policy.
What this policy covers
Cricket Pulse is a single app covering One Day International and Twenty20 internationals, major global tournaments, and domestic Twenty20 league seasons. Each of those is a competition inside Cricket Pulse — they are not separate apps and do not have separate privacy policies. This one page applies to all of them, on every platform Cricket Pulse ships on.
Sign-in is optional
All live cricket scores, standings, brackets, and news in Cricket Pulse are available without creating an account, for every competition it covers. Signing in only unlocks predictions, personalized alerts, and the rewards program.
Information we collect
- Account information: Email address and a unique user ID when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email/password (via Firebase Authentication). Google and Apple provide only your name, email, and — for Google — profile picture; we never request access to anything else from those accounts.
- Purchase history: Your subscription status (active/expired/plan) so the app can remove ads for Pro subscribers and unlock Pro features. Billing itself is handled entirely by Apple/Google — we never see your payment details.
- Advertising (free tier only): Cricket Pulse shows banner and interstitial ads via Google AdMob to free-tier users; ads are removed entirely for Pro subscribers. All ad requests are non-personalized — we do not use your advertising identifier (IDFA) or any tracking for ad targeting, and you will not see an App Tracking Transparency prompt because of this.
- Rewards program: Points you earn from predictions, brackets and daily check-ins are tied to your account and awarded by our backend, never by the device. Cricket Pulse has no watch-an-ad-for-points feature, so no ad you see ever credits your balance.
- Push notifications:If you allow notifications, we store a device token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) to send match alerts you've opted into. You can disable this anytime in system Settings.
- Analytics and diagnostics: Firebase Analytics records which screens and features are used, plus an app-instance identifier and the coarse, city-level location Google derives from your IP address. Cricket Pulse links no crash-reporting SDK, so the only crash data that exists is what the App Store and Google Play collect themselves, under their own policies.
We do not collect device location (no location permission is requested — the city-level estimate above is derived from your IP address by Google, not read from your device), health, contacts, or browsing history, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Signing in with Google or Apple
Google sign-in for Cricket Pulseuses Firebase's federated sign-in flow — you'll see a secure system web sheet reading “to continue to Soft Flourish”, the shared consent screen used across every Soft Flourish app. We receive only your basic profile (name, email, and, for Google, profile picture) to create and secure your account. Our use of data from Google Sign-In adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements — we never use it for advertising and never sell or share it with third parties except as needed to run the service or comply with law.
Data retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your rights
You may access, correct, delete, or export your personal data at any time. California residents have rights under the CCPA; EEA/UK residents have rights under the GDPR.
To delete your account and its data, follow the steps on cricket-pulse/deleteaccount — you can do it inside the app, and you do not need to contact us first. For any other privacy request, use our contact form with the subject “Privacy Request — Cricket Pulse” and the email address associated with your account. We respond within 30 days.
Children's privacy
Cricket Pulse is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. We'll post the revised version here with a new date.
