The short version:your documents never leave your device. Flourish PDF has no document-upload endpoint. Editing, scanning, OCR, and AI all run locally on your device. The only data we hold is what's needed to run an account and a subscription — your email address and your plan status.

We never receive, store, transmit, or process the contents of your PDFs. All document work — opening, editing, page operations, annotation, redaction, form filling, signing, and export — happens entirely on your device. There is no server-side document pipeline in Flourish PDF.
Camera scanning and text recognition (OCR) run on-device using your operating system's built-in capabilities — Apple's VisionKit and Vision frameworks on Mac, iPhone, and iPad, and Google ML Kit's on-device models on Android. Page images and recognized text are never uploaded.
Summarize, ask-about-your-document, and translate run on your device's own on-device AI — Apple's Foundation Models on Mac, iPhone, and iPad, and Google ML Kit / Gemini Nano on Android. Your document text is never sent to us, to a cloud AI provider, or to any third party. If your device doesn't support on-device AI, the feature is simply unavailable; we never fall back to a cloud service.

You can use Flourish PDF without an account. Signing in is only required to use a paid subscription across devices.
Subscriptions are processed by the platform you bought them on — Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play), or our web checkout for Windows. We never see or store your card details. We use RevenueCat as our subscription-management provider to tell the app whether your plan is active.
We use a small number of processors, strictly to run accounts and subscriptions:
None of these receive your documents or their contents.
Flourish PDF contains no advertising, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no tracking. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use your data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We keep your account record for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time via our contact form, and we will remove it. Deleting the app alone does not delete your account.
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold so little, these requests are usually simple — just contact us.
Flourish PDF is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Our account and subscription infrastructure is operated in the United States. Because your documents never leave your device, no document data is transferred anywhere.
If we make a material change, we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
