SurfaceIQ — Delete Your Account & Data

This page explains how to delete your account and associated data in SurfaceIQ, the surface-anomaly scanner published by Soft Flourish (operated by Fenul LLC). It applies to the SurfaceIQ apps on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Delete your account from inside the app — the fastest way, no request needed.
- Open SurfaceIQ on your phone.
- Sign in with the account you want to delete, if you are not already signed in.
- Go to the account area on the home screen (where Sign Out appears) and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm on the warning prompt. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
If you cannot sign in
Email [email protected] from the address linked to your SurfaceIQ account, with the subject “Delete SurfaceIQ Account”. We verify ownership of the address and complete the deletion within 30 days. We will confirm by email when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your SurfaceIQ sign-in account itself (email/password, Google, or Apple sign-in).
- Your email address and account identifier (user ID).
- Your user profile record.
- Your workspace and everything in it: saved scan sessions, findings, baselines, and generated reports synced to your account.
These are erased immediately when you use in-app deletion — they are not soft-deleted or held in a recovery window, and they cannot be restored afterwards.
What is kept, and for how long
- Purchase and subscription records — retained by Apple and Google, and by us in de-identified form, for up to 7 years where tax, accounting, audit, and fraud-prevention law requires it. These are not linked back to a deleted account for any other purpose.
- Aggregated, anonymous analytics and crash diagnostics — retained up to 14 months. This data contains no account identifier and cannot be traced back to you.
- Backups — deleted records may persist in encrypted operational backups for up to 30 days before those backups roll off, after which they are gone.
Raw scan photos and camera imagery are never uploaded at all, so there is nothing server-side to delete for them. Anything stored only on your phone is removed when you delete the app.
Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your SurfaceIQ account does not cancel a SurfaceIQ Pro subscription — billing is handled by the app store, not by us. Cancel it in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, before deleting.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You can also have specific data erased while keeping your account. Email [email protected] from the address linked to your account with the subject “Delete SurfaceIQ Data”, telling us which saved scans, findings, or reports to remove — or ask us to clear all synced scan data while leaving your sign-in intact. We complete these requests within 30 days and confirm by email.
